Magnolia Cottage is the most charming two-bedroom mid-terrace property situated in the village of Gattonside, which lies just across the River Tweed from the thriving Borders town of Melrose. With fabulous views to the Eildon Hills, it would make a super primary or secondary home, or an ideal holiday let in this popular location.
Approximately one and a half miles from the Borders Railway, which runs from Tweedbank to Edinburgh, the property is in a highly accessible area with the A68 only a short distance away, as well as the Borders General Hospital which lies on the outskirts of Melrose.
Internally, the property lies over two floors providing generous accommodation comprising two bedrooms, a bathroom, a sitting room with wood burning stove and a fully fitted breakfasting kitchen. There is also a good size attic, accessed by loft ladder providing excellent storage and an understair store.
Externally, the property is accessed on foot over a gravelled courtyard and a via gate leading to the row of terraced cottages. With a South facing garden, which is a particular feature of the cottage, and a generous lawn, there are well stocked borders and small shrubs and trees. A garden shed sits at the foot of the garden which is particularly useful, and there is a terraced area immediately to the front to enjoy the sunshine and the views to the Eildon Hills.
