From Edinburgh take the A7 South to Galashiels. Travel into Galashiels, and turn right at the first roundabout and onto Bridge Place, merging with the A72 signposted Peebles. Proceed on this road and as you leave Galashiels on the A72 (Wood Street) heading towards Peebles, turn left into a bell mouth, directly before the national speed limit sign, which is sign posted William Law Gardens. Follow the road, over the first speed bump and turn left on to the driveway which leads up to the house. There is visitor parking immediately available on the left-hand side.

From Peebles, take the A72 into Galashiels and on approaching Wood Street turn right into William Law Gardens and follow the above directions.

The area is also served by the Borders Railway which recently opened and runs from Tweedbank to Edinburgh, with the aforementioned station in the town.
